If only you used something like NS1 on your audio bus, the background noise is awful.
It could all be removed with something as simple as a $15 plugin from Waves.

Waves NS1 <- If you google that and apply it to your audio track, all of that background noise will be gone.

If your studio location is in a very open and loud area, I understand the difficulty with getting the audio right. But please, you're creating masterpieces, documenting these so beautifully.
They'll provide value and knowledge for generations to come.

Magic

So awesome when people pipe up and try to tell others how to manage their business. "The elephant in the room?" Get over yourself.

I mean no offense to you Magic, but I actually like the background noises and sounds of the city in these videos. This is the sound that these subjects listen to every day in their life on the streets. For me, it draws me in and it makes it that much more real and authentic. I cannot think of a background sound that is more raw and fitting for these types of interviews. The variety of street sounds, such as cars honking, and ambulances rushing by, projects the reality of the people who live in the streets. The interviews are heartbreaking and eye-opening. I have fallen in love with almost all of the sweet and troubled souls who have fallen through the cracks, right in front of us.
